Ghost ink is a special ink with a patented technology that, as the name suggests, becomes transparent or floats like a ghost. The transparency of the ink is so high that it is extremely difficult to see in visible light, but it can be clearly seen only through an infrared camera. Conventional infrared absorbing ink was not suitable for security materials in the apparel industry due to its high reflectance in the infrared range compared to ghost ink, as well as the safety issues of the ingredients contained in it and its lightfastness. Through joint development with a major ink manufacturer, we have overcome these issues and succeeded in developing a security material that is easy to introduce and difficult to counterfeit, which can be used with confidence in the apparel industry.
