Ghost ink, as the name suggests, is a special ink with a patented technology that turns it transparent or floats like a ghost. It is so transparent that it is extremely difficult to see with visible light, but it can be clearly seen only when viewed through an infrared camera.
Conventional infrared absorbing inks were not suitable for security materials in the apparel industry due to the high reflectance
in the infrared range compared to ghost inks, as well as the safety issues of the ingredients contained, lightfastness, and other fastness.

Visible Proof of Authenticity
In recent years, the level of counterfeit products has risen, and counterfeit products with high reproducibility such as holograms and fluorescent inks have appeared.
In this regard, ghost ink is controlled by major ink manufacturers and Tentac to whom it is shipped, and cannot be obtained by counterfeiters.
In addition, ghost ink can be visually detected for authenticity simply by passing it through an infrared camera, which is an inexpensive and versatile tool used as a night vision camera.
Hidden Printing of Unique QR is also available
Solutions that print unique QR codes that are different one by one and perform authenticity judgments on the cloud are becoming popular,
but it was not possible to prevent the same specific QR code from being copied multiple times. . In the case of ghost ink, there is a high
possibility that a counterfeiter will create a copy without being aware of its existence by using a hidden QR code.
Furthermore, even if the QR code were to be counterfeited, it would be extremely difficult to reproduce the unique QR code with existing infrared absorbing inks,
making it possible to dramatically improve security performance.
Sample Preparation Method:
Printed on paper using ink with 10% of various infrared absorbing materials added.
For each printed sample, the reflectance spectrum is measured using a spectrophotometer.
