TENTAC's new product "hazai nano" was introduced by SEN-I-NEWS.
Packaging materials are also becoming more sustainable
Reuse end materials and promote recycling
TENTAC (Sumida-ku, Tokyo) has been offering hazai nano, a film made of 100% recycled polyethylene, as a packaging material for apparel and other products since October 2023.
hazai nano is a material developed jointly with a major film manufacturer that reuses end materials generated during production. In order to prevent quality deterioration due to repeated recycling, a rule was established to use the end material only once. This allows for a stable supply of highly transparent film with few black spots.
Traceability has also been established because end materials are managed through a designated collection company until they are recycled into pellets. The company has also acquired the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), an international certification for recycled materials.
Costs have been kept down through the establishment of a simple supply system. Overseas production will also be supported. The response to the proposal has been positive, and business negotiations are already underway for the packaging of a wide variety of products, according to the company.
